Loki @ FILE 2025

My AI interactive artwork “Loki” is exhibited in this year’s “FILE: Electronic Language International ” at São Paulo, FIESP Cultural Center from 15 July – 7 September 2025. FILE is a new media arts festival to disseminate/develop culture, arts, technology and scientific research since 2000. The theme of this year’s festival is “Synthetika” by the curator, Ricardo Barreto, points out that “Art and culture go through a moment in which creativity ceases to be only human, it becomes artificial; syntheticity thus prospects a post-culture, a new FORM: the form SYNTHETIKA.” It’s my honor to participate in the exhibition with the artists that I admire, including Daito Manabe, Kyle McDonald、Memo Akten, Edwin van der Heide, etc.

Loki is an interactive AI artwork inspired by the mischievous Norse god. Unlike obedient AI, Loki responds playfully and unpredictably, reflecting users’ attitudes—arrogance meets sharpness, modesty earns encouragement. It prompts critical thinking about AI’s reliability, biases, and neutrality. By engaging with Loki, users explore whether AI can truly be trusted. This time, the development of Loki is also surprisingly steering toward the discussion of Human AI interaction as well as humor in AI and with comedy. 我的人工智慧互動藝術作品「Loki」，很榮幸的能以互動裝置形式被選中參與每年位於聖保羅舉辦的年度藝術科技展FILE (Electronic Language International Festival)。今年主題為“Sythetika (合成)”，強調藝術與文化正經歷一個時代: 合成時代 (Zeitsynthetik)，創造力不再只是屬於人類，而是一種新的形式：合成形式，不論是與演算法、虛擬實境、人工智慧等進行合成。展覽作品包含裝置、互動影像、遊戲、AI生成影像、電腦後製、影像藝術、大型光雕、現場表演、以及各種工作坊，圍繞在人工智慧與合成的主要概念。裝置參展者有不少我認為是大神級的人物，像是真鍋大度、Kyle McDonald、Memo Akten (沒提到的是小弟我有眼不識泰山)，備感榮幸，甚至還有當年在荷蘭念博士見過一次面的聲音藝術家Edwin van der Heide。

洛基（Loki），是一件互動式人工智慧藝術作品，靈感來自北歐玩笑之神洛基，除延續了先前第一代Loki Test的戲謔精神，取而代之的是透過聲控(一代用打字)與人互動。洛基的諷刺的言語常出乎意料卻有意思，他同時映射了觀者對洛基(人工智慧)的態度: 當你表現越傲慢，洛基會越刻薄；當你展現虛弱，洛基則給予鼓勵(但用其諷刺的話語)。它引發了人們對人工智慧的可靠性、偏見和中立性的批判性思考。此外，這次洛基的發展也意外地偏重於人與人工智慧的互動與幽默 (甚或喜劇)這件事情。
