WonderForest in CURRENTS New Media 2023

My interactive immersive VR artwork “WonderForest” was selected to be exhibited in this year’s CURRENTS New Media Festival. CURRENTS New Media focuses on fostering new media arts and presents artists creating innovative work through the annual Festival. The festival celebrates New Media Arts in different forms including physical exhibitions, live performances, and artisan markets. “WonderForest” provides a fantasy immersive visual/audio VR interactive environment asking the question of “what is real?”. If life is composed of a pile of sensory experiences, should VR be included?

我的VR互動作品WonderForest獲選今年CURRENTS New Media 2023年度展覽之一。Currents New Media 坐落於聖塔菲，每年舉辦以科技藝術結合為主的實體展覽。今年是疫情後第一次有VR作品的加入。展覽形式除實體展覽外，亦有周末限定的表演以及藝術家市集以活絡與在地的連結。WonderForest透過身歷其境的可互動虛幻空間，抽象化所謂的動物，環境，地景等的具象概念，進一步挑戰使用者對於身體感知的認知，以丟出VR空間體驗真實性的問題。
